Authenticity is honouring what is sustainable and responsible, in the present moment.
Is not acting with haste or urgency to do or be what feels right by society or even, sometimes by yourself because, is not a reaction it is conscious choice.
It can ask us to be adaptable, gentle, strong, fierce and loving.
It feels like connecting to a space within yourself, that remains peacefully centered, to have the humility and the power to adapt or transform, according to the needs that day, without losing connection, to self.
Understanding yourself deeply.
🕉️ Respect Your Body: Listening to your physical limits – observe without judgment.
🕉️ Presence: Aiming to be present in each moment. Noticing when you are not. Practicing loving kindness (ahimsa) for yourself, and others.
🕉️ Truthfulness (Satya): Being honest about your capability’s day to day, and your intentions – understanding your needs, recognising others have needs for theirs to be heard too (non-stealing).
🕉️ Inner Purpose: Considering your values and your actions and how they align. Journal, reflect and make informed and embodied choices. Connect with like-minded individuals.
🕉️ Know when to practice forgiveness and when you’ve nothing left to give. Your energy is precious (Brahmacharya).
🕉️ Let go of what is not yours to carry (Aparigraha). Like the breath, life requires a long ‘exhale’. Consider selfless action with regularity over intensity in balance – a middle ground.
The practice of yoga extends off the mat, giving you the confidence to be your true self, with confidence and joy – leading to more meaningful experiences. Yoga guides us in practice to experience the power of choice at a subtle level, with profound effect.
